Creative Choices was an arts and cultural programme which MeeMee Theatre delivered in collaboration with TIN Arts as part of the ESF Engaging Vulnerable Young People project managed by Durham County Council. The project was originally designed to engage young people with autism at risk of being not in education, employment or training but, was eventually changed to engage all ages of people with a learning disabilty or autism.
By bringing MeeMee Theatre's Worlds of Curiosity and Play to the participants of Creative Choices they explored and discovered new ways to connect, create and, play, alongside promoting a sense of belonging and community.
Quotes from participants -
"I'm much more confident. I'm not afraid to do things. It's helped me brilliantly."
"I'm usually the silent type. I've come out of myself more, which I have enjoyed. It's helped me talk more."
