BOOMBA DOWN THE TYNE

The Lawnmowers theatre company: ARTISTIC DIRECTOR PADY O' CONNOR, MUSICAL DIRECTOR BRENDAN MURPHY

Boomba down the tyne brought together thirty five learning disabled artists from the North East regions of England and Brazil to devise this large scale performance creating an exciting fusion of Theatre, Dance, Mask and Puppetry

Boomba told the beautiful story of a mans relationship with the sea, and how a seahorse visits him in a dream, It celebrated and showcased North East culture in a uniquely spirited theatre, music and Samba Ceilidh experience. Boomba toured to Theatres and Arts venues all over the North East then travelled to the South Bank Arts centre London

Boomba down the tyne was Artistically created and directed by Pady O' Connor Artistic Director MeeMee Theatre, Puppetry developed in collaboration with Andrew Kim Thingumajig theatre and Music directed by Brendan Murphy.
